Anna Brown joined the Anthropology department at Appalachian State University as Administrative Support Specialist in 2021. Previously, she spent 16 years working for local businesses in human resources and administrative management. She is passionate about the environment and volunteered for the National Park Service for many years. She moved to the area from Jonesborough, Tennessee in 2002 to attend Appalachian State, where she acquired a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology. She fell in love with the mountains and made them her home, where she resides with her husband and two boys. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, hiking, camping, and plays guitar.
