Internships

Internship Opportunities

Students in the backInternships in anthropology provide students with opportunities to gain practical, hands-on experience in community sites and cross-cultural settings beyond the university. Typical sites include social service agencies, city and regional planning offices, community, cultural and environmental advocacy groups and sustainable development non-profits and for-profit enterprises. These may be located in Boone and surrounding communities or in other national and international sites. Students may earn up to six semester credit hours by working 300 supervised hours, although the typical internship consists of 150 supervised work hours for three semester credit hours.
