The faculty of the department regularly offer archaeological field schools as well as a range of other hands-on training in archaeological methods. The department has archaeological field equipment, three spacious and well-outfitted archaeological laboratories, a skeletal biology lab, a 3D modeling lab, a dedicated curation facility, and artifact photography and microscopy facilities.
